By engaging with our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. General Refund Principles

Because our services involve expert time, planning, and technical work, refunds are limited and evaluated case-by-case.

  • Refunds are not guaranteed after active work has begun.
  • Refunds are issued only to the original payment method used.

2. Upfront Deposits (Non-Refundable)

Unless otherwise stated in a project contract, all projects require a 40% upfront deposit before work begins.

This deposit is non-refundable once planning, design, research, or development work has started.

The deposit covers:

  • Project analysis
  • Requirement gathering
  • UI/UX design drafts
  • System architecture planning
  • Environment setup
  • Developer allocation
  • Administrative and communication time

Even if the client cancels, these costs have already been incurred.

3. Milestone Payments

Most projects involve phased or milestone payments. Once a milestone is delivered (e.g., design stage, backend setup, module completion), that segment becomes non-refundable because the work has already been completed.

If a milestone is not delivered due to our fault:

  • We will revise or redo the work at no additional cost, or
  • Provide a partial refund for the undelivered portion.

4. Project Cancellations by Client

If you choose to cancel a project before completion, the following rules apply:

4.1 Before Work Starts

Full refund of any payments except the non-refundable deposit.

4.2 After Work Has Started

Refund is calculated based on:

  • Work completed
  • Resources allocated
  • Time invested
  • Third-party costs incurred

You will receive a detailed breakdown, and only the remaining balance not yet consumed may be refunded.

4.3 After Project Completion

No refunds are provided once:

  • Final deliverables have been handed over, or
  • Access/credentials have been transferred

5. Project Cancellations by Stack Jungle Technologies

We reserve the right to cancel a project under circumstances including:

  • Non-payment or long delays in payment
  • Client violation of Terms of Service
  • Illegal or unethical project requirements
  • Repeated failure to provide content or feedback
  • Abusive or unprofessional behavior

In such cases:

  • Completed work will be delivered ONLY after the client clears outstanding invoices
  • No refunds are provided for work already completed or deposits

6. Hosting, Domain, and Cloud Service Fees

Hosting, domain registration, SSL certificates, and cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, etc.) are non-refundable under all circumstances.

This is because:

  • These are third-party services
  • Stack Jungle pays them on your behalf
  • They do not offer refunds once activated

Clients are responsible for renewing or maintaining these services unless a maintenance contract is in place.

7. Support, Maintenance & Retainer Plans

Monthly, quarterly, or annual support plans include bug fixes, updates, backups, system monitoring, server maintenance, API support, and security updates.

Because these plans involve continuous resource allocation, they follow this structure:

  • No refunds for any billing periods already started
  • Cancellations apply to future billing cycles only
  • Yearly contracts may be refunded pro-rata, minus work already performed (evaluated case-by-case)

8. Digital Products & Deliverables

All digital items—including but not limited to source code, UI/UX designs, system documentation, databases, graphics, APIs, custom scripts, and software builds—are non-refundable once delivered, because digital products cannot be "returned."

9. Change of Mind by Client

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Change of mind
  • Switching to another provider
  • Deciding not to continue after work has started
  • Budget changes
  • Business strategy changes
  • Delays caused by the client

These reasons fall outside our responsibility.

10. Quality & Performance Guarantee

We guarantee professional work, industry-standard development, and agreed project scope delivery.

If the delivered work contains bugs, errors, or technical issues, Stack Jungle will fix them at no extra cost within the agreed warranty period (typically 14–30 days depending on the project).

Refunds are not a remedy for fixable issues.

11. Exceptional Cases (Rare)

In extraordinary situations—such as unforeseen operational challenges—we may offer:

  • Partial refund
  • Project credit
  • Alternative service adjustments

This is done entirely at our discretion, ensuring fairness to both parties.

12. Refund Request Procedure

To request a refund, email info@stackjungle.com and provide:

  • Project name
  • Invoice number
  • Reason for refund
  • Supporting evidence (if applicable)

We will respond within 7 business days, and eligible refunds are processed within 14–30 days.

13. Chargebacks & Disputes

If a client issues a chargeback:

  • All project work immediately stops
  • Access to software, servers, or deliverables is revoked
  • Legal and administrative fees incurred will be passed to the client

We strongly encourage contacting us before initiating a dispute.

14. Final Decision

Stack Jungle Technologies reserves the right to approve or deny refund claims, determine refundable amounts, and modify this policy at any time. All decisions are made based on fairness and documented project activity.
